Cutting - 3 Gold and 1 Silver Medal for Malte Doering, Germany

The second day of the 21st European Championship of Quarter Horse decided upon the cattle shows and more halter shows. In Cutting, Malte Doering succeeded in winning all three divisions: riding Kiss My Cat he became European Champion Cutting Amateur, with Smart Einie he won the Senior Open and with Ichin Poisen Oak the Junior Open. Also he rode Kiss My Cat to Silver in Senior Open. All three horses are owned by Malte's father Juergen. The High Brow Cat-son Kiss My Cat is one oft he most successful cutting horses of Europe and was 2009 European Champion Senior Open and Amateur Cutting (with Juergen Doering in the saddle). Smart Einie has also been part oft he successful Doering stable for years. The 14-year-old mare is by As Smart As The Fox out of a Dry Doc mare. Ichin Poisen Oak was at the EC fort he first time. The 4-year-old stallion by Cat Ichi out of Styled By Oak won three of the four shows and placed second once. His total score: 465.

The Silver medal in Junior Open was earned by Seven Champagnes and Mirko Nuhn (Score 394) with Pablo Pepita Quixote and Styrbjörn Persson (SWE, 365) receiving bronze.

Another highly successful competitor was Austrian Gerold Dautzenberg. With Peppys Lil Ricochet he earned the silver medal in Amateur Cutting and two bronze medals with Roosters Dream (Amateur and Senior Open).
