July 12 is entry deadline for the European Championship of Quarter Horses

The entry deadline for the 31st FEQHA European Championship of Quarter Horses will already be on July 12.. The event is scheduled for August 8th to 15th, 2021. The current COVID incidence of 0.0 in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach gives hope for a relaxed event on the facility in Kreuth with few official restrictions.

Besides the European Championship titles in the Halter and Performance classes, European Champion titles in the Longe Line and Trail in Hand classes will be awarded this year. Since these classes are no official AQHA classes yet this year, the title will be calculated from the judges' results and there will be no final. Eligible to compete are 2 and 3 year old horses that will not be shown under saddle at the show. If there ar enough entries, the classes will be divided into 2- and 3-year-old classes. In addition to Longe Line and Trail in Hand, the young horses can of course also be presented in Halter and Showmanship classes.

Another novelty this year will be the Ranch Trail Open and Amateur.

In addition to the EC classes, the NSBA Germany Futurity, which is held in conjunction with the European Championship, will offer additional possibilities in Pleasure Open, Pleasure Non Pro, Hunter Under Saddle Open and Hunter Under Saddle Non Pro.

Competitors may arrive as early as 8 a.m. on Friday, August 6, so that horses and riders who have traveled farther can have plenty of time to recover before the show. On Saturday, a variety of Paid Warm Ups will be offered, which can be registered for on-site. On the following days, the Level 1 Show offers the opportunity to prepare in the show arena for the 4-AQHA shows, where the finalists in the performance classes will be determined Monday through Thursday. The finals will take place from Friday to Sunday.
