22. European Championship of American Quarter Horses
Apr 29, 2011

On Friday, August 12, the 2011 FEQHA European Championship of American Quarter Horses starts at the beautiful Kreuth facility in Germany. Until Saturday, August 20, the best American Quarter Horses of Europe and their riders perform in a variety of disciplines. For the European Champion title, exhibitors have to qualify in two go rounds for the final. The exception is Halter and the cattle classes where there are no finals.  As the EC starts and ends one day earlier than in former years, this leaves ample time for participants to travel back home on Sunday. Like last years, Paid Warm ups are offered in almost every discipline. Also trail competitors can look forward to meeting Ann Dennis again this year.

8 Judges – the right one for every discipline
For the first time, the EC will be judged by eight experienced international judges, following the American tendency to offer specialized  judges in every discipline. So exhibitors can look forward to top cnditions in every respect at the 2011 EC.

Nations Cup: Now 4 riders needed for teams
The European Championship starts with the Halter and Cattle shows on Friday and Saturday (August 12 and 13). On Sunday, the Performance Go rounds start.  The last class of the  European Championship will be the Nations Cup on Saturday night (August 20). Here the mode was adapted: from 2011, each time must consist of four riders (instead of three as in former years). After the Nations Cup, there will be a party.

Deadline of reservation for box stalls that have not been paid: July 11
There are already a great number of box stall reservations. So exhibitors should order their stall pretty soon. Please note that box stalls that have not been paid for, will only stay reserved until July 11. So please remember to pay for your box stalls by then, as otherwise the reservatioon will be cancelled.

Free entry for visitors

For visitors, the European Championship means two weeks of first class horses and sport – for free! There will be no entry fee for visitors during all days.
