Let the show begin: The first day of the European Championship of American Quarter Horses

05.08.2016. Today was the beginning of one of the biggest western riding shows in Europe. The 27th European Championship of American Quarter Horses in Rieden, Kreuth, Germany. Participants and spectators are going to experience 10 days of top level equestrian sport.

Today, participants from Germany, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary and Finland competed in the Green Trail, Novice Amateur Trail, Novice Youth Trail and Green Reining Classes.

The Green Trail was won by Stefanie Bubenzer from Germany with Lazyiswhatlazydoes, who came in first place among 36 participants. The mare is owned by Jaqueline Korioth. The Danish rider Natascha Haukrog Moller followed in second place together with Assets Grand Slam. The mare is owned by Elisabeth Potalivo. Cindy Hessels from Netherlands with Ima Cool Personality, owned by herself, finished in third place.

Jaqueline Korioth from Germany and her mare Lazyiswhatlazydoes won first place in the Novice Amateur Trail with 30 participants. Domenic Meier and Totaly A Grand Slam from Switzerland came in second place. Dagmar Schnauder from Germany and her horse Talk About This Chip take third place.

In the Green Open Reining, Sandra Breitenstein from Germany with Topsail Gun It won first place. The horse is owned by Timo Rister. Pascale Hoffmann from Luxemburg came in second place, together with his mare Last Friday Night. Oliver Salzmann from Germany and To Smart To Spook placed third. Christiane Brandes owns the stallion.

The European championship of American Quarter Horses takes place Friday, 5 August, to Sunday, 14 August, at the “Ostbayernhalle” in Rieden-Kreuth, Germany.
