The European Amateur Team Cup was first established in 2008 when it took place in Kreuth, Germany. 6 teams took part in this first event.

The second European Team Cup was scheduled for 2010 in Poland. The Polish organisers had made a lot of professional preparations, but too few countries were ready to participate. The concept of the Amateur Team Cup was not optimal, and it was decided to adjust the concept and reschedule the Amateur Team Cup.

This now takes place in July 2011 in Lier, Belgium with an integrated Youth and Amateur Team Cup.
